THE SNATCHING AWAY – THE RESURRECTION IN THE LAST DAY
Just before Jesus enters the last week, He spends time with friends. Jesus loved Mary, Martha and Lazarus. Jesus explains that He will raise Lazarus from the dead to bring God glory. Martha knows that Lazarus will be resurrected in the last days. This was a common teaching in the Scriptures of the Old Testament.
Later in the New Testament Paul explains a new teaching that he called a mystery. That’s because this teaching was not previously or formally taught. Paul describes this type of resurrection as a snatching away. This is because the ones in the future will be taken up having never died. They will be changed in a twinkle of an eye to meet Jesus in the air. That’s exciting and should bring us comfort to know that this grand event will happen at any time.
Jesus will begin his end time program with taking up His bride followed by a 7-year ministry to Israel once more. Israel will finally know their Messiah and enter the promised Millennial Kingdom.
