FEED MY LAMBS, FEED MY SHEEP. (THE FINAL CHAPTER)

A simple message from Jesus to Peter is how the book of John ends. It’s a message for the next generation – young and old as the reference implies, young lambs and older sheep. Jesus delivers this message back in Galilee, a place of comfort, an everyday place for most of these apostles in waiting; also, evangelist to the world. Jesus even feeds them a fish supper in this last chapter. It’s an everyday message as they receive daily bread.

Our message is clear. Take our daily bread. Thank God for all blessing. Then, get busy with lambs and sheep. Three and a half years of following Jesus was packed with high drama, heavy learning, witnessing conflict and confrontation and growing in love and truth.

The book of John for Peter was a journey of growth and development. This too is our steps to take as we join the call to share the message also given to Mary Magdalene. That is, that Jesus is Alive.

The final message: feed my lambs, feed my sheep.
